Blindness

February 20th, 2008 by technitus

Imagine all the things we know. Better yet, the things we are willing to know, the things we believe we know. How much is there that we don’t know/see.

I think there is a lot more to know than we do. And I also think that ‘the world’ would be much bigger and much more beautiful if we knew ‘more’.

Have you ever experienced this feeling of idleness? The feeling of just being part of a stupid, ever-repeating and never-ending social cycle?

Well, no. Not really. I hate being idle (unless I say so).

i think this world is blinded by so many factors which inhibits our potential to grow at an exponential rate

    take politics for example

I do not think I ever want to stop learning but sometimes being idle is a good thing to slow us down a bit. I think we rush around too much gobbling up the scenery and don’t stop just to appreciate it.

The truth is when we take things for granted, we start turning a blind eye and then ignoring them. We start accepting things as background rather than seeing them the way we would if it were the first time. It is the way the brain copes with all the information it receives. But if occassionally we are able to take a step back and smell that flower in our garden, or feel the wetness of water or even feel the roughness of bark on a tree. Then we are no longer blind!
