What Is Intelligence?

February 8th, 2008 by technitus

If intelligence is the sum of IQ + EQ, this doesn’t make it any easier.
According to modern psychology there are about 22 septillion (24 zeros)
ways to characterize a person. So which character type + an IQ of X makes a person intelligent? Can’t you be considered “unintelligent” in a certain case, yet “intelligent” in another?

Example: When it comes to mathematics you’re a loser - but you have 1,000 friends, you know how to cope with social problems and you’re good at interacting with people.

What stands behind intelligence? Can it be determined at all?
Is intelligence determined/defined by each society/cultural circle on its own?

There’re many types of intelligence in modern psychology. There’s a special one for communication, dealing with others.

IQ and EQ both are important but still it depends on what you really want to achieve

    1. win a noble prize and fame?

    or

    2. make money out of your wits and become a billionaire?
